Introduction
Project Genie (Vicky McLaren) will always be up front about what I do with your data – I am committed to treating it with respect and keeping it safe. This privacy statement explains how I do this and how you can make sure I do.

Project Genie (Vicky McLaren) is the sole ‘Data Controller’ of your information. This means that I determine the purpose and way your information is used. I will never sell your personal information or share it with another organisation for their own purposes.

I only ever collect and hold information about you that is relevant to your relationship with me. This includes:

Contact details (name, email address, phone number, street address, FB/Messenger contact)

Record of work done and attendance at workshops

Billing and payment information (including bank details within my banking app)
I do not use cookies or any other website monitoring.

How I Use the Information
I use your personal information to provide the Project Genie services you have requested or have expressed an interest in. I will do this on the basis of legitimate Interest or on the basis of contract where we put one in place.
Processing may include:

Arranging your attendance at workshops and presentations

Arranging and providing consulting services

Taking payment for the above
I will keep your data for 2 years from our latest engagement.

Direct Marketing
I do not use your data for direct marketing. I use social media to promote Project Genie services. Individuals are free to engage with my social media posts or can choose not to see them.

Sharing and Disclosure
I rely on the use of services from third parties to provide my work. I use the services of companies to collect, store and process your personal data. I only use trusted providers that I have checked comply with EU privacy laws, namely:

Microsoft Office 365 – data storage and email

Wix.com website hosting

Facebook – pages and messenger

Google – for email hosting and calendar management

Smartsheet – for project management
Wherever possible I aim to keep your details within the EEA. In some cases, services I use may run their operations outside the European Economic Area (EEA) – for example Microsoft Office 365 may host or backup data in data centres in the US. In these cases, I check the service provider is signed up to the US-EU Privacy Shield Agreement.
If required to by law I may need to disclose your details – to the police, regulatory bodies, or legal advisors. I will only do this in response to a valid request in compliance with UK law.

How I Keep Your Data Safe
I ensure that there are reasonable and appropriate technical controls in place to protect your personal details.
I use secure wifi and trusted software to hold and process your data. I store all files and data in Microsoft OneDrive, protected by two factor authentication when I log into my Microsoft account. My mobile devices are encrypted, and password protected. Devices shared with others have a unique account for Project Genie work that cannot be accessed by others.
I undertake regular reviews of who has access to information that I hold to ensure that it is only accessible by me. Whenever I embark on a new activity where we collect personal details, I will perform a Privacy Impact Assessment to ensure we do not put your personal details at risk.
In some instances, I may gain sight of personal details you hold. In these instances, I will provide a confidentiality agreement for the duration of my work.

Your Rights
You may ask me at any time to correct data you think I may have inaccurate;
You may ask me to limit what I do with your data or to delete it altogether.
You may request a copy of the data I hold about you.
